Click the titles to watch online or borrow them from our Resource Centre. We also distribute some of these DVDs at cost for educational purposes. Understanding Seizures and Epilepsy
This DVD combines footage of real seizures and explores what happens when someone has a seizure. Examples are given to show how others can recognize what is happening and learn first aid and safety strategies. In addition, people with epilepsy talk about how they would like friends, family, and the public to treat them just like everyone else. Length: 11 minutes

This resource provides information for early childhood educators on identifying and recording seizures, safety considerations, communication with parents, and helping other children understand epilepsy. Length: 13 minutes
Seizures in Later Life
This video explores the many different aspects of epilepsy in seniors and the impact that it has on their lives. Four seniors with epilepsy share their experiences, lifestyle changes, and feelings. The video also describes types of seizures, common causes, treatments for older persons, and how to respond if a seizure occurs. Length: 15 minutes
And Life Goes On - Severe Seizures of Early Childhood
Seizures syndromes in early childhood with poor prognosis are discussed in this video. Parents of children with early childhood seizures talk about the difficulties for parents and the rest of the family, how to share responsibilities among family members, residential placement programs, alternative treatments such as special diet and surgical options, special educational programs, early intervention programs, and community resources such as support groups. Understanding Complex Partial Seizures
Complex partial seizures are a form of seizure that involves only a part of the brain, usually the temporal lobes. It is difficult to diagnose and is often misunderstood. This DVD discusses the symptoms, common verbal and motor automatisms seen in complex partial seizures, and first aid response. Length: 13 minutes
