New Lecture Series Topic This Monday!
Epilepsy and Neuropsychology
Many people with epilepsy have questions about how their condition can impact other aspects of brain functioning. Learn more this Monday the 24th when Neuropsychologist Dr. Sare Akdad will be speaking about Epilepsy and Neuropsychology at the BC Epilepsy Lecture Series. Neuropsychology studies the assessment and treatment of brain functions as related to issues such as learning, memory, and behaviour. Dr. Akdad has worked with adults and children in hospitals in the US and Canada, with a focus on people being treated for seizures. She will be speaking about the impact on various functions of the brain, as well as strategies for dealing with cognitive and memory issues in everyday life. This topic is very applicable for individuals who live with epilepsy, parents and caregivers, as well as healthcare professionals. See you there!

Help Support Programs and Services
Donate Through Monthly Giving
Many people want to make a donation that's larger than what they feel they can afford at any one time. That's why why many of our donors opt into making their donation spread out over twelve months, becoming one of our monthly donors.
For example, if you wanted to donate $300 but couldn't afford to make a single gift of that size all at the same time, you can make 12 monthly donations of $25 each.
At the end of the year after making your 12 monthly donations, our Society would issue you with a tax receipt for your entire year of donations. If you start donating part way through a tax year, you will receive a receipt for the amount given in that tax year. e.g. starting to donate in July would mean you made six monthly donations and would receive a tax receipt for $150.
If you have any questions, please contact our Executive Director, Shawn Laari, at laari@bcepilepsy.com
