Market Research

In September of 2007, the BC Epilepsy Society engaged the services of market research experts The Mustel Group to conduct a series of focus groups to look at public understanding of epilepsy and seizures. In March 2008, during Epilepsy Awareness Month, we again engaged The Mustel Group to conduct an omnibus poll of 500 British Columbians about their understanding of epilepsy and seizures, and associated social stigmas. We will be incorporating some of the feedback we received into new public service announcements (PSAs) being creating in the spring of 2008. We also hope to be able to use some of the feedback when we develop our media messages for our 50th anniversary activities in 2009.
